A glass a day keeps the doctor away!

          Cheers!!!

In Victory, you deserve Champagne, in defeat, you need it; Napoleon  Bonaparte

Imagine you and your partner, in a fine dining restaurant celebrating a special occasion, candles lighted in the centre of the table with your steak just served, along with the restaurant background music, aren't you start it with a toast first before anything else? You should, that will make it momentous.

Beforehand, you will then pick the restaurant recommended house champagne from the menu, how special that night will be. Do you have your favourite brand of champagne? whether you will have your moment outdoor to drink or enjoy your bottle in the comfort of your home? alone, with someone special, with your friends or even your work company's get together. Those times that we need a bottle of champagne to appreciate, raise all those filled glasses and all together we say Cheers!

That pop will call for something to celebrate, something to talk about, something to enjoy or even something to call it a night. A sparkling wine, a Champagne! But wait... you can only call it Champagne if it is only coming from the Champagne region of north-eastern France. It's different from all other sparkling wines. And then it must be made only from the Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, or Chardonnay grapes which grow in that region.

Yes, it's an alcoholic drink, often deemed as unhealthy, that can have unwanted side effects on your body just like any other alcoholic drinks. We tend to look for something to sip to make us a little tipsy for some reason. It can be an ordinary night that can help you fall asleep, or it can help you to relax after a long tiring day at work. A glass of champagne can help you with that, proven to break in the clouds. Here are a few excuses to drink it.

Champagne is known to have a surprisingly good amount of health benefits.

It is a low-calorie drink - 4-ounce glass of bubbly containing just 90 calories
A memory supporter - New researched has suggested that 3 glasses of champagne a week can help to improve your memory, a phenolic compound in champagne support proteins linked to storing memories and improve brain activity.

Into the bargain, there's a healing power of champagne trace elements contained in champagne that can help boost your mood if you imbibe in moderation.

Considering the various type of Champagne;
Listed, well-known types are the Brut and Rose.

Rose - Rose will be pink in colour, often pricier, it is made from the types of grapes that typically make red wine. In general Rose tends to have a bit redder fruit aroma and flavours than regular, which makes it a little sweeter than the other Champagne.
Brut - Brut is a term for dry, unsweetened Champagne and sparkling wines. It's drier, which means it contains less residual sugar. It tends to be well-balanced and silky.
Many aspects of producing Champagne are the same as making wine. Grapes can be harvested earlier to avoid too much sugar reaching the grapes used for producing champagne.

How much will a bottle cost you? There are a lot of budget options available. Standard and premium categories. It can be vintage and non-vintage champagne. You can find it in the supermarket near you or a well-known established wine liquor store. This astonishingly delicious bottles of champagne can be budgeted up to way expensive bottles in the market.

Champagne has the same alcohol level content as the glass of your favourite wine or your basic cocktail. Its bubbles (gas) in Champagne can get absorbed faster in your stomach and into your bloodstream so you can get drunk easily. Champagne can also use as the main concoction of some favourite cocktails in the bar. While you are in the spotlight, consider enjoying your glass of champagne in moderation just like any other alcoholic beverage.

Champagne is best served cold; it has been the custom to bring them to the table in ice buckets or cooler to make sure that it is served at the right temperature. Paired with your favourite dishes, I prepare to have it with my mac and cheese and it also goes along well with seafood, fruits, and some dessert to cherish.

As a bartender in a well-established restaurant here in Macao, I can see people are enjoying drinking champagne regardless of their ethnicity. I love to introduce the bottles we have in our menu, I enjoyed every time I open a bottle in front of our guest, after that pop, fill their glasses, a conversation may start and it seems like that moment can bring a positive outlook towards my daily routine as a worker. Those Champagne bottles in our restaurant, we call them the baby. Babies in their crib, sitting nice and chilled in the display fridge, whenever guest will come to enjoy a meal, they can see those babies displayed like whispering "corks are popping"
I'm enjoying my job as the bartender, and I love to see those people wigged a mouthful of wine with relish.

An open bottle of champagne can last up to 3 to 5 days. After this point, it’ll go flat and its lovely flavour will be evaporated. Mine at home won't last that long anyway since I'm a fan of champagne, that bottle will be emptied the soonest when it's gets opened.
On the other aspect, I usually give a bottle of champagne as a gift, simply because I want them to have the same feeling of excitement, enjoying a chilled flavourful glass of champagne. Drinking with benefits, getting tipsy while still in shape. With that being said, to drinkers who are also health-conscious, Let's drink to that...Cheers!
