Childhood...looking back

Do you belong in the 90's kids? I still reminisce about my childhood, back then I have nothing in mind but to go out and spent the whole day playing, eat lunch at my neighbor's house and go home before dawn, dirty. I'm pretty sure that those moments of my life gave an extent to my strong personality and body up to this day. A Recollection of so much traditional games we enjoyed like,
Syato- (a stick game) makes use of two sticks, one longer than the other, hit the shorter stick with the longer stick as far as it can go and when this happens, the hitter will run to a marked area. Similar to baseball

Luksong Baka- (jump over the cow)The baka then assumes his position at a designated “jump over” spot. On the first level, he takes a crouching position and the rest of the players jump over him – one after another. When all the players have jumped over, the baka raises his position a bit higher for the next level.

Chinese Garter- The garter generally starts from the ankle – level and then knee – level, and so on until the garter is positioned over the head. Higher rounds demand agility since players leap with their feet first in the air and they cross over the garter and end up landing on the side.

Patintero- (block and catch) Patintero is played outdoors. The players are divided into two teams equal number, namely the runners and the taggers. The object of the runner is to get through all the lines back and forth without being tagged.

Tumbang preso- (knock down the can) with a certain tool and retrieve the same tool without being caught by the guard. The Game involves much physical activity like running.

And those are the few of many games that we enjoyed back in the day, including flying kites in the farm field, rolling my body in the grass hayshide and seekcooking real food in the empty canned goods using wood fire in the back yardcards gameplay moneyclimbing treesrunningjumping in the third floor of the abandoned construction site and a lot more. Mostly outdoors and physical games that really boosted my stamina. It helps stimulate growth, both physically and intellectually.
Traditional games are chart-topping activities among people who live in rural areas. It has been played by our society for a long time. Nowadays, most of the traditional games are being abandoned by the children of this modern era as the gadgets are more attractive for them. However, some of the children who live in rural areas are still interested to play traditional games. There is no doubt that playing traditional games has its own advantages to the players.
Way far to what the kids can enjoy nowadays. Kids nowadays don’t know about games that are made of handicrafts. They only know about mobile or internet games. But, on the positive side, children are able to use technology devices early on. Some children play a modern game under the guidance of parents. As a result they gain supervision and coaching to gain knowledge of the modern game. But staying just at home playing video games while laying in bed is also not ideal for the kid's development in terms of the physical body and mental development in some ways.
Considering myself that I aged with those physical games that build my strong stamina and boost my social interaction towards other people. I hardly ever get a cold, bug or infection, My co-workers are not even bothered to help if they saw me lifting things for they know I use to do it by myself without complaining, comparing myself to those other who easily get tired. I enjoyed my childhood I can say, I had the best memories playing outdoors, and overall I have never-ending stories to share with my kids.

POEM OF THE DAY

IN THE DARK...I WILL SHINE...

When fear gets in my veins, I started to get insane
Words rolling out in the air, though I'm in despair
I tried to look back, got nothing to track
Emptiness arise for It's no surprise

And then I fall, I fall and then I fall
Got no choice but to crawl, empowering my soul
I felt ambivalent, towards reaching the end
But still a question of, can I begin again?

All of my  thoughts, scattered in folds
Ideas come upon, I have nowhere to run
Rebuild, regain though I felt ashamed
I have to believe I can, then no one to blame

Spread my passion and life must go on
I believe in my ability, you are just better than me
I am unique in my way, learn as I go
Drop the stone, and then let it flow

No matter what life may bring, someone is there to sing
I fall, and I stand in the dark, I will shine.....

The Thirst Responder

A person who formulates and serves alcoholic or soft drink beverages behind the bar, usually in a licensed establishment. Maintain the supplies and inventory for the bar. Generally, mix classic cocktails or make their own signature. Well, that will be the usual word to use to describe them or the nature of the work they do. The thirst responder, the BARTENDER.

It's a kind of work that needs skills, passion, confidence, and a positive attitude towards work. But most of all is the basic knowledge of the bar and the product knowledge. So in terms of product, ways, or method, and preparation to do the job, well, that will be too many to mention, that will take you far beyond what we can talk about.  Huge responsibilities, Too many to memorize, but then there will also be too many ways on how to handle every situation a bartender may be facing at work.

A good bartender will have a willingness to give their best and constantly learn new skills. And always have respect for customers, fellow staff and their venue.A good bartender will take pride in their appearance and be passionate about their craft.

The primary purpose of a bartender is not simply make drinks and put money in the till. The primary purpose of a bartender is to deliver warm and welcoming customer service, and give your guest the best nights of their lives.

A bartender in the restaurant? that is also a different thing. Different things if the establishment is just only bar, but when you are the bartender in a certain restaurant you will also have all the necessary knowledge regarding the restaurant food, service, table setting menu, taking orders, payment method, etc. From the moment your guest seated, starting from giving the menu up to payment until the clearing of the table mess, that all have to be done as the bartender.

The job difference between the bartender and the server?
The bartender can go out of the bar and help with the service, while the server cannot go inside the bar and do the job of the bartender, In some restaurant knowledge in the bar is not shared to everybody for the reason it may take some time of preparation, training, time and effort, usually on the busy days. But it can be done.

Will you be the bartender if you do not drink?
Tasting their creations is a necessary part of ensuring balance and quality before the drinks can go. A bartender takes a plastic straw, dips it into a meticulously prepared drink and plugs the end with his or her finger, trapping the liquid inside until it's dispensed into his or her mouth then it's good to go.

On the other side, bartenders are more than happy to engage in conversation with a customer. It's all part of a day's work, along with shaking up cocktails, pouring out shots, pulling draught beers, and generally making everyone's day better. But it's up to the customer to conversate properly and respectfully.

Bartending is an art form and continuos learning path that never ends; it is not just about pulling pints and never has been. A bartender is a host, therapist, entertainer and a distraction from a normal life.
